Are you serious.... just what perspective are you looking from? I look from Drizzts perspective or as if I am there in that world. Think about the technical s and necessities and very huge lack of painted armor in the world of Faerun.

Where is it written that there is a lack of painted armor? And who said the armor was painted? There are some green metals. Or perhaps they are enchanted to be green. There are many possibilities.
